WDG in Montreal (and updates)

I am in beautiful Montreal this week. There are many things I love about this city -- the greenery everywhere. The much-more-efficient public transit. The attitude towards speaking French.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows. Nowhere is all sunshine and rainbows. (Some places try to come close.) But I like the general feel of Montreal.

This week, I'll take some time to visit old haunts and friends... and visit every game store that I can. There are some very random places I'll pop up, but otherwise my schedule's somewhat full.

Last week was spent very heavily on the Kickstarter. I got to the point where I said I was done, then I checked a few things and found out I was not. Several very long days flowed into the weekend.

The Kickstarter page is "done" in the sense that the Man in Black was "dead". In the Fire Swamp. This, sadly, means it's not really ready to be previewed except with people who know me directly. I would rather it be ready than to show it unready to the general public.

Primarily, I have a few sections to add, potentially the Kickstarter video to redo, and some key research to complete. In particular, I was not able to get proper shipping quotes from Staples. The service I've received from a number of companies in the last month or so has been disappointing, but others have been incredible. (Sticker Mule has been fantastic, among others.)

Anyway. After next week, the Kickstarter goes live. Lots to do before then. I have to shoot a short video about "oh, hey; the Kickstarter starts in, like, a couple of days and here's the plan".

I need to take time to work out that plan, too. There are aspects I'd like to do, but everything seems to take so long. And my computer harddrive's getting full, despite archiving a lot of GB. At some point, I'll have to run that problem down... we pray it doesn't die on me.

Anyway. I'm in Montreal and it's great. Next week, it's back to insanity and we'll see how far I get.

I hope that you walk among beauty in your life, regardless of what form that beauty takes.

Cheers,

-MSB

Schedule: WDG in October

We are so  busy! There's the Kickstarter , Gamealot (this weekend!), a livestream , and the Spooky Geeky Market  (Oct 26-27)! Not to mention my personal life (heh),  Gamer's Den every Wednesday, and Giles Tenderworth's Monsters in the Dark . October is a very busy month for Wild Dragon Games! The Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal Kickstarter does not appear to be going well, but I'm learning something new every day! It will remain live until the end of Halloween because that was the plan. If it succeeds, fantastic! If it does not, then I'll spend six to 18 months reworking it and launch again.  I'll name the cards and the shirts will vanish! You've been warned! In case you didn't know, HHMC is a colourblind-friendly card game for 2-5 players. It's Hearts meets a zombie apocalypse. (With NO zombies! it just has that nom-nom feel.) So it's a trick-taking game followed by a unique interactive scoring phase. We're going to Gamealot this weekend! ...

Announcement: Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal LIVE on Kickstarter!

I have many faults. I have many weaknesses and fears. But I push through them and present to you--! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wilddragongames/human-hunter-monster-cannibal/ The "H" there is cut a bit. And poor Elizabeth Borden is basically hidden entirely. But that's fine . Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal, for those who don't know, is a trick-taking, hand-building game for 2-5 players designed from the ground up to be colourblind friendly. Take as much charge as you can of a 1450s village in the mountains or forest or desert and guide the spring festival that you might survive the monstrous conjunction. There are free stickers and shirts available for purchase, too. Stand with us against the dark. Back the game now and get it for earlybird pricing!  That's not everything, though. Are you curious about the monsters in our game? Where do they come from, how can they be avoided or killed? Join us for Giles Tenderworth's Monsters in the Dark , a series of...
