Yammer Video & Gamealot

Hello, everybody! My name is not Doctor Ned! So, first things first: we're going to Gamealot ! Last-minute decision! Yes that's next weekend , October 4-6! It's their first year back since COVID!  October 4-6! Mark the date! From what I can tell, it's basically like GobFest or Fallcon. Show up, grab a table, play some games with your friends.  I do not have a table or time confirmation yet, but that's just details. We're going to be there! And we'll be doing a livestream with The Rat Hole ! David is great. He's got a wonderful, boisterous laugh and an easy smile and just a general joie de vivre that I hope I can mimic in part. So, yes. Gamealot ! Tickets on sale now! And I have another Yammer video. It's a thing I do on YouTube at random. The next one should hopefully cover my distaste for Dixit, and every reason you should play it. But my Yammer videos are completely random. So I'll just post my Yammer video here . It's a little long, but ...

Reminder: Edmonton Expo starts TOMORROW!

Yes! The Blog-o-sphere gets the last update! Edmonton Expo opens its doors to the VIP public at 14:00 MST tomorrow! We'll be very proudly in Artist's Alley at booth A910! Come visit us! What's our schedule, you ask? Why it's the same as the con's!     Friday 4 PM – 9 PM*      Saturday 10 AM – 7 PM      Sunday 10 AM – 5 PM I'll be joined by Anna Sawan and a newly-minted Grant MacEwan University artist ! Anna's got some hand-made goodies to sell your way and our artist will be available for sketches all** weekend! Because Google's acting up again, you'll have to check out our Instagram for our map. I think I know why Blogger acts up, but since it doesn't give me an option to fix the problem, I'm stuck not-posting pictures and videos here. Sorry about the inconvenience! See you there! -MSB *Like I said, the VIPs get in early :-P  ** At least until they learn we're actually at the con hunting some monsters and rudely ask us to leave. ...

Announcement: Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal LIVE on Kickstarter!

I have many faults. I have many weaknesses and fears. But I push through them and present to you--! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wilddragongames/human-hunter-monster-cannibal/ The "H" there is cut a bit. And poor Elizabeth Borden is basically hidden entirely. But that's fine . Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal, for those who don't know, is a trick-taking, hand-building game for 2-5 players designed from the ground up to be colourblind friendly. Take as much charge as you can of a 1450s village in the mountains or forest or desert and guide the spring festival that you might survive the monstrous conjunction. There are free stickers and shirts available for purchase, too. Stand with us against the dark. Back the game now and get it for earlybird pricing!  That's not everything, though. Are you curious about the monsters in our game? Where do they come from, how can they be avoided or killed? Join us for Giles Tenderworth's Monsters in the Dark , a series of...

VideoLink CRAZY (So Many Videos and Links)

Hello everyone! I've been busy all day shooting videos! The Kickstarter for Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal is 99.99% ready. Feel free to pop over there and join the mailing list. Less than 24 hours to go! On with the show! The Last Post-Boxening is the last box to be opened on-video before the Kickstarter, probably before the Expo. (Have we mentioned that we'll be going to the Edmonton Expo next weekend? It's very exciting.)  on Almost Words is a "yak" video where I "yak" about games or concepts or interests. This one's about aesthetics and the social game Almost Words. Check the link below the video for HonourWood Games. They're really nice folk. Pre-Kickstarter Video this might not be our last video before the Kickstarter, but it is the one that introduces you to everything the Kickstarter has to offer. Speaking of Kickstarter, here's our link! Human-Hunter-Monster-Cannibal on Kickstarter This link will lead straight to the Kickstarter ...

WDG in Montreal (and updates)

I am in beautiful Montreal this week. There are many things I love about this city -- the greenery everywhere . The much-more-efficient public transit. The attitude towards speaking French. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. Nowhere is all sunshine and rainbows. (Some places try to come close.) But I like the general feel of Montreal. This week, I'll take some time to visit old haunts and friends... and visit every game store that I can. There are some very random places I'll pop up, but otherwise my schedule's somewhat full. Last week was spent very heavily on the Kickstarter. I got to the point where I said I was done, then I checked a few things and found out I was not . Several very long days flowed into the weekend. The Kickstarter page is "done" in the sense that the Man in Black was "dead". In the Fire Swamp. This, sadly, means it's not really ready to be previewed except with people who know me directly. I would rather it be ready than ...
